Transcript evaluation
Columbia University College of Dental Medicine requires Advanced Standing applicants to the DDS Program to provide official evaluation of all documents from foreign institutions that are presented as part of the application process.
We will accept evaluations from the organizations listed below. Address any questions about services directly to the organization. Evaluations must contain course-by-course assessments.

Letters of recommendation from one faculty member and the academic dean of the original dental school, as well as one post-doctoral reference, if applicable.
Official results of the National Board Exam, Part I: No application will be considered without certified copies of scores from the National Board Exam, Part I. The scores may, however, be submitted separately from the rest of the application. Official results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
A minimum score of 600 is required (250 on the computerized version). Applicants who attended an English-speaking university may be exempt and should contact the director. Call (609) 951-1100 or go to www.TOEFL.org for more information on the test.
