Arthur Volker, DDS ’03
Dr. Volker graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. He was a clinical attending at the Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility on Roosevelt Island, and is in private practice in Sunnyside, Queens. Dr. Volker has published articles and lectures nationally and internationally on such topics as direct composite, minimally invasive dentistry, dental materials and digital dentistry.
David A. Gelb, DDS ’73, Perio ’75
David A. Gelb, DDS completed his DDS and Certificate in Periodontics at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and his implant surgical training at the University of Toronto. He is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Periodontology, a Fellow Academy of Osseointegration, and a Fellow American and International college of Dentists. He is on staff at Hartford Hospital and has provided implant services in West Hartford for over twenty-five years.
Dr. Gelb has achieved global recognition as a leader in Implant dentistry having pioneered surgical procedures for finite esthetics in implant dentistry, immediate implant placement, and bone regeneration. He lectures nationally and internationally at major implant meetings and publishes extensively in journals worldwide on implant denistry. He developed the "Gelb Radiographic Depth Guage," a diagnostic surgical guide to heighten precise and optimum implant placement, and designed "The Implant Tracker," a comprehensive software program to manage the Implant practice.
Dr. Gelb continues to move forward with innovative implant surgical procedures including the unsurpassed "Teeth-In-One-Hour" and immediate loading. Dr. Gelb maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Surgery in his state-of-the-art facility in West Hartford, Connecticut, where he and his dedicated staff serve patients from all over the world.
