We strive to develop regenerative medicine therapies for cartilage and bone diseases.

Our Mission

The Laboratory of Cartilage Biology and Regenerative Medicine is a translational research program that bridges mechanistic work using mouse genetics and stem cell biology to the development of osteoarthritis large animal models and treatments. Lessons learned from the biological concepts discovered in our lab are used to dissect the molecular mechanisms gone awry in disease. Collectively, we use our biological and pathological findings to develop regenerative medicine strategies to treat musculoskeletal diseases, such as osteoarthritis and temporomandibular disorders.
