Dr. Nicolas Elian is president and CEO of Vizstara. Renowned for his expertise in the evaluation and retreatment of implants, Dr. Elian’s clinical practice focuses on surgical procedures such as advanced bone grafting and ridge augmentations. Dr. Elian completed his DDS degree and postgraduate studies in prosthodontic and implant dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Elian has served as head of the Division of Implant Dentistry, director of the Fellowship Program in Implant Dentistry, director of the International Residency Program in Implant Dentistry, and director of Experimental Research at New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Elian consults on product development for industry manufacturers and is an inventor and expert in both cell culture and tissue engineering. Dr. Elian is a visiting professor at the University of Chietti, Italy, and Tong Ji University, China, as well as an honorary professor at El Instututo de Investigaciones Craneo Dento Maxilo Facial de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, Argentina. He was also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Joseph Maniscalco earned his DDS at New York University. He earned a certificate in prosthodontics from the VA Medical Center in Portland, Oregon and a certificate in implantology from New York University. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is a practicing prosthodontist in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Daniel Min earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon graduation, Dr. Min was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army and served four years, gaining invaluable experience providing dental care to our nation's service members. He continues in the Army Reserves. After active duty, Dr. Min was admitted to graduate specialty program in dental implantology and prosthetics at Columbia University. He completed this three-year specialty program and earned a Master of Science (MS) in prosthodontics.
Dr. Min is committed to professional growth. His membership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of Prosthodontics keeps him up to date with the latest in surgical implantology and advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Dennis Morea is an alumnus of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and has certifcates in general practice residency from the Veterans Administration Hospital in New York and in prosthodontics from Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. He has been a clinical instructor at CDM since 1971. He is a fellow of the Greater NY Academy of Prosthodontics, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Prosthodontics, and the New York Academy of Dentistry, of which he is a past president. He was the 2017 recipient of the ACP-NYS Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Benedict Rich graduated from Columbia Dental School. He completed a General Practice Residency a the West Haven Veterans Administration Medical Center followed by a residency in postdoctoral prosthodontics at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Dr. Rich is an attending at the postdoctoral prosthodontics program at Columbia. His interests range from conventional prosthodontics to implant retained prosthodontics particularly the convergence of the these disciplines.
Dr. Rich has published numerous articles in the prosthodontic peer reviewed literature. He has also served as a reviewer for the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Rich has lectured in the United States and abroad on prosthodontics.
Dr. Dean Vafiadis received his dental degree and prosthodontic specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry. He is currently the Director of the Full-Mouth Rehabilitation CE course at NYU. He is an adjunct clinical associate professor of prosthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry and an adjunct professor at NSU NOVA Dental School of Medicine. He lectures nationally and internationally for NYU Continuing Education and professional dental organizations on topics including aesthetics, implant design, ceramic materials, occlusion, and digital dentistry. He is also the founder of the New York Smile Institute, a multi-specialty implant and aesthetic dentistry practice and educational center in New York.
A fellow of the AAED, Dr. Vafiadis is a member of several professional organizations, including the ACP, AAID, ICOI, AACD, and ADA. His work focuses on education, research, and developing new technologies aimed at advancing the dental profession and improving patient care.
