50 Years of Endodontics at Columbia: A Tribute to Drs. Joseph Leavitt and Irving Naidorf

Columbia Endodontics at 50: A Video History

July 6, 2017

Fifty years ago, Irving Joseph Leavitt, DDS '40, and Irving Naidorf established Columbia's Endodontics Division, driven by the belief that it is "moral malpractice" to pull a tooth that could be saved.

Their contributions to the field, their patients, and the College of Dental Medicine's development, were many but not well-documented until CDM board member Marc Leavitt, son of Dr. Leavitt, produced this touching and informative video.
