Admissions Information


  • DDS or DMD from an ADA accredited dental school in the United States or Canada
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Official dental school transcripts
  • One (1) institutional evaluation
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation (one preferably from the Department Chair)
  • Submission of official ADAT score report (accepted but not required)
  • Submission of official National Board Dental Examination score report to be sent directly to the program address, unless included in institutional evaluation. Part 1 is required to apply 
  • Participation with PASS and Postdoctoral Matching Program. Match code must be included in PASS application
  • Eligibility for licensure in New York State (
  • 2x2 passport size photo
  • US or Canadian citizen or have a permanent immigration card
  • Interview


Some applicants will be chosen for admission interviews, which are required before acceptance.


The Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry participates in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program.

How To Apply

Students must apply to the program through the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS), via the PASS website. The application deadline is October 1st of the year prior to program start.

The following supporting documents should be submitted through PASS:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Official dental education transcripts
  • One institutional evaluation 
  • 3 letters of recommendation (one preferably from the Department Chair)
  • ADAT results accepted
  • National Board Dental Examination results are normally included in the institutional evaluation and are considered official. Otherwise, official results must be sent directly to the Program Address
