CDM Community Celebrates Record-Breaking Giving Day

Last night, the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) community gathered to toast a major win on Giving Day, an annual 24-hour fundraising event that unites the entire Columbia University community in support of schools, programs, and initiatives.

For the fourth year in a row, CDM ranked #1 in participation.  A record number of alumni, faculty, staff, students, and supporters of the College of Dental Medicine participated in the seventh annual Columbia Giving Day on October 24, 2018, and the school more than doubled dollars raised over last year.

Gifts will immediately fund scholarships, needs of particular divisions, student research, and the new Center for Precision Dental Medicine.

At the celebratory event, Dean Christian S. Stohler recognized the donors and volunteers who made Giving Day a victory for CDM. “Your gifts have a tangible and direct impact on students and the school,” he said.

Along with the gifts made online, alumni sent notes with feedback for the school. Here are a few comments received from alumni and friends on Giving Day.
