Colombia Mission Trip
Columbia surgeons and trainees participate in a multidisciplinary mission to Neiva, Colombia, where they work alongside local physicians to provide reconstructive care for children with cleft lip and palate and other complex congenital conditions. The collaboration also supports clinical education, research, and long-term partnerships with local providers.
Dominican Republic Service Experience
Third- and fourth-year dental students participated in a weeklong service-learning experience in the Dominican Republic through World of SMILES. The opportunity combined hands-on clinical education, community service, and collaboration with Columbia faculty and local partners while exposing students to oral health care in a global setting. Guatemala Educational Exchange
Through an educational exchange with the Facultad de Odontología at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala City, third- and fourth-year College of Dental Medicine students learned alongside Guatemalan dental students in clinical and classroom settings. The experience included collaborative patient care, shared clinical techniques, and cultural exchange, offering students a broader understanding of oral health care in an international setting.
